- General Eligibility
- Master's degree obtained under Regular Stream (full time / part time/ evening course) or any other qualification recognized as equivalent thereto in the fields of study notified from time to time by this University with not less than 55% marks.
- Specific Eligibility
- For Ph.D. Degree in Engineering / Technology - M.E. / M.Tech. (Full Time/ Part Time) in the relevant branch of Engineering or Technology.
- For Ph.D. Degree in Science, Humanities & Social Science - M.Sc. / M.A. / M.C.A (Full Time / Part Time / Evening Time)/ M.B.A in the relevant branch of study.

Admission of the applicant shall be based on combined merit of entrance examination and interview conducted by the university.
